Print, finish, and include meaning card
Layered UV flatbed printing on Egyptian papyrus. Choose artwork only, pale oak frame, or mahogany shadow box with acrylic glazing. The meaning card ships with the artwork.
Egyptian papyrus + designed inscription. Not a poster, not a filter.
Large A3, about 47 cm × 33 cm. Printed on Egyptian papyrus — the material has carried writing and images for about 5,000 years — with layered UV flatbed printing. LED UV curing keeps color vivid and the ink can build subtle raised texture. Mineral-inspired palette: ochre, lapis blue, malachite green, red, black linework. Protected with acrylic glazing — also called organic glass.
- No printed poster paper passed off as papyrus.
- No random decorative hieroglyphics; the inscription is designed from your words and explained on the meaning card.
- No claim of certified Ancient Egyptian translation unless expert-reviewed.

From the founder
Charlie LIANG
We all have moments that feel too precious to leave as another photo in a phone. But most ways to remember them have become strangely narrow: a print, a frame, a post, a card. Ancient Egyptian papyrus gave us another idea. Names, gestures, rivers, suns, blessings, and lines of text were placed together on one surface; thousands of years later, they can still feel vivid and alive. That is what we are trying to do here. Take one real photograph, preserve the person's likeness and expression, turn the words into a symbolic inscription, and print the whole memory on genuine Egyptian papyrus. Not to pretend your family is ancient, but to give this moment a form with time inside it.

Real outcomes, not stock photos
Each panel shows the same flow: the original moment, the finished piece, the meaning card.

Honest answers to the real fears
Pre-purchase questions that come up every day, with the actual answer.
Is this hand-painted?+
No. This is a custom papyrus artwork printed on Egyptian papyrus with layered UV flatbed printing. Its value sits differently from our oil painting product. The oil painting is hand-painted by an artist; the papyrus portrait is a precise visual translation into an Ancient Egyptian-inspired form — preserving likeness, expression, gesture — then physically printed and finished on real papyrus.
Why use UV flatbed printing?+
UV flatbed printing can print directly onto the material surface. The ink is cured by LED ultraviolet light almost instantly, which keeps colors vivid and linework sharp on textured papyrus. Layered ink can also create a subtle raised feel.
Is the text real Ancient Egyptian?+
It is a symbolic hieroglyphic-style inscription inspired by Middle Egyptian wording. We do not call it a certified academic translation unless expert-reviewed. The meaning card explains the original words, the compressed meaning, the transliteration, and the caveat.
Will the people still look like the photo?+
That is the core requirement. The artwork is stylized, but faces, age, hair, clothing, posture, and the relationship gesture should remain recognizable.
What is the meaning card?+
The meaning card explains the inscription. It includes the original words, the Ancient Egyptian-inspired meaning, transliteration, and a plain-language explanation, so the receiver understands what the symbols stand for.
Why acrylic glazing instead of glass?+
We use acrylic glazing — also called organic glass — because it protects the artwork while being lighter and safer for shipping than traditional glass.
Which frame should I choose?+
Choose artwork only if you already have a frame. Choose the pale oak frame for a lighter modern home. Choose the mahogany shadow box when you want it to feel more like a preserved collectible document.
